About Us - Villa Camelot is a family run Bed & Breakfast

12 years of jetting around the world while working with KLM & Delta, attuned me to the hospitality industry in a way that it became my passion and dream to have something of my own going some day. In 2003, the we could finally plan to have our own Dream Home, and the construction soon followed, giving form to our dream.

The name 'Camelot' had stayed with me for the many years that I studied English Literature , and thought, that our home would be abundant and flourishing, just like King Arthur's city. And so we named it 'Villa Camelot', where my husband and I would weave some great stories together. In December 2006, after the birth of our son, I quit flying and wanted to do something of my own. I was always in awe of the concept of B&B, and having personally enjoyed the hospitality of a few across Europe, I was convinced in my heart to take this opportunity to venture in this line of business. However, the road ahead was full of challenges. I had no technical knowhow, didn't want to borrow finances and didn't want to touch my savings. So the best I could do was to put out an ad the local classifieds for a room available in a 'Home Stay'. Our first customer showed up within 24hrs of placing the ad and was a long stay guest from Delhi. This helped boost our morale to add more rooms. Week after week, month after month, I'd save up from these earnings and keep adding something new to the rooms. The Force was with us, helping us through all this. The major breakthrough came when a lone Australian traveller who stayed with us, wrote the most beautiful and touching review on Trip Advisor, which acted as a catalyst to bring in more international customers and increased our visibility.

As they say, the rest is history . We've hosted many people from diverse backgrounds and made some wonderful friends plus added extended family for life .

Today, 'Villa Camelot' offers 6 well furnished rooms with their own decor and unique tales to tell. Although the Krishnaa, Tulsi and Mogra stories are better heard in person, over a steaming cup of tea!
